Syed Abdul Kadir Gillani son of Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani was born on April 29, 1981 in Lahore. He obtained the degree of LL.B. (Hons) in 2003 from University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. He has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in bye-elections 2008 and is functioning as Chairman, Public Accounts Committee-II Punjab. He has visited UK, USA, Canada, Europe and India (to attend SAARC Conference). He hails from an influential and spiritual family of Multan. His father served as Federal Minister for Housing and Works and later for Railways during 1985-86; as Federal Minister for Tourism, Housing and Works during 1990; as Federal Minister for Local Government and Rural Development in 1993 during the interim government; as Speaker, National Assembly during 1993-97; and presently serving as Prime Minister of Pakistan since March 25, 2008
Former PPPP MNA, Syed Ali Musa Gilani son of former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani was candidate from NA-148 (Multan-I). He contested election against Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Hussain Qureshi, Vice Chairman of PTI and Malik Abdul Ghaffar Dogar of PML-N and lost his seat against both of them.
Malik Abdul Ghaffar Dogar of PML-N remained victorious with 81830 votes under his belt, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Hussain Qureshi as runner-up with 64763 votes and Syed Ali Musa Gilani was able to obtain 49918 votes from the residents of his constituency.
Humera Arshad (Punjabi, Urdu: حمیرا ارشد) is a Pakistani pop singer from Lahore. She is a folk, pop, culture, and ghazal singer who has been classically trained. Her albums are Chori Kach Di and Gal Sun Dholna. Humera says she used to accompany her mother to majlis for soaz khwani from an early age. She trained under the tutelage of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and has won numerous honors and awards for her musical achievements.
